- Meditation leads to Nirvana and Enlightenment.
- Understanding and adherence to the Noble Eightfold Paths is key to meditation that leads to Nirvana and Enlightenment. The Noble Eightfold Paths stress compassionate and ethical action, wisdom and knowledge.
- Meditation is continuous awareness of all physical and mental activities and the resulting physical and mental action.
- Meditation is contemplation on the teachings of the Buddha like the Four Noble Truth, the Noble Eightfold Path.
- Calm abiding and concentration are crucial to remain in the state of continuous watchfulness.
- Meditation has to be practiced during every moment of life including sleep.
- Meditation on the cushion is a form of intense meditation where stimuli and actions are constrained and one can better focus on physical and mental activities. The primary purpose of meditation on the cushion is to prepare on for a way of life that adheres to the Noble Eightfold Paths during the remaining periods of our lives.
